Material

Rhodoïd is a sheet material made from cotton in Italy. The cotton is dyed and pressed into blocks featuring a wide variety of colour patterns. Slices are cut from these blocks, which are then further processed in France in over ten stages to create enchanting hair ornaments and accessories. The Rhodoïd hair accessories, which are produced using a labour-intensive process and are partly handmade, therefore offer the following advantages over machine-produced, injection-moulded plastic items:
