Material

The extra-large Paris claw clip is made from high-quality Rhodoïd cellulose acetate – Rhodoïd for short. For this claw clip, we use a patented elastic band instead of the traditional metal spring, making it particularly sturdy, robust and gentle on the hair.

Rhodoïd is a sheet material made from cotton in Italy. The dyed cotton is pressed into blocks in selected colour combinations and then cut into individual discs. Through a labour-intensive process, these discs are transformed into enchanting hair jewellery and accessories such as the Paris claw clip.

Packaging and dispatch

When packaging our items, we strive to strike a reliable balance between transport safety and sustainability. We therefore use only recycled paper and cardboard, as well as eco-friendly packing tape and cotton bags made from naturally renewable raw materials. Each item is carefully wrapped in a cotton bag, tissue paper or kraft paper, then securely packed into a cardboard box and prepared for dispatch.

We have therefore chosen to work with suitable factories in Europe rather than opting for cheaper manufacturing in Asia or Eastern Europe. It is essential to us that our products are manufactured under humane conditions, from the sourcing of raw materials right through to the finished product. This geographical proximity allows us to gain a more detailed insight into the individual production stages and significantly reduces transport distances, enabling us to make a substantial contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and protecting the environment.

Our claw clips and their packaging are made predominantly from biodegradable raw materials sourced from sustainable agriculture. As our products are manufactured in Germany, France, Austria and Portugal, we can fully guarantee compliance with EU environmental standards, unlike products manufactured in Asia.
