Rhodoïd is a sheet material made from cotton in Italy. The cotton is dyed and pressed into blocks featuring a wide variety of colour patterns. Slices are cut from these blocks, which are then further processed in France in over ten stages to create enchanting hair jewellery and hair accessories. The Rhodoïd hair accessory, which is produced using a labour-intensive process and is partly handmade, therefore offers the following advantages over machine-produced, injection-moulded plastic items:

Packaging and dispatch

When packaging our products, we strive to strike a reliable balance between transport safety and sustainability. We therefore use only recycled paper and cardboard, as well as eco-friendly packing tape and cotton bags made from naturally renewable raw materials.

It is essential to us that our products are manufactured under humane conditions, from the sourcing of raw materials right through to the finished product. Our geographical proximity allows us to gain a more detailed insight into the individual areas and significantly reduces transport distances, enabling us to make a huge contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and protecting the environment.

Our barrettes and their packaging are made predominantly from biodegradable raw materials sourced from sustainable agriculture. As our products are manufactured in Germany, France, Austria and Portugal, we can fully guarantee compliance with EU environmental standards, unlike products manufactured in Asia.
